The Asia Insurance Company Limited, incorporated in 1923, was one of the pioneer insurance companies in the republic. Our sister company, The Asia Life Assurance Society Limited, founded
in 1948 is one of Singapore's earliest and most established life insurance companies. Today, both are subsidiaries of Asia General Holdings Ltd., which has interests in life and general insurance, investment holdings, property and hotel developments and investment dealings.
Asia Properties Management Pte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Asia General Holdings Ltd was incorporated in 1971 to manage/develop the landbank owned by its sister companies Asia Insurance Co Ltd and Asia
Life Assurance Society Ltd. The following are some of the group's properties developed/managed by the company: -
(1) Residential Properties - Development and sales of Asia Garden, a condominium at Everton Road in 1985.
- Management on behalf of Asia Life of two prime condominiums
in
(a) Stevens Road comprising 14 units of apartments and 5 units of townhouses.
(b) Dalvey Road comprising 12 units of apartments. - Development and
management of 2 units of bungalows at Queen Astrid Park for sister company Asia Life.
- Joint Venture development and management of a 12 storey mixed development at Craig Road between sister company Asia Life and Guthrie GTS.
(2) Hotel Properties - Management of Hotel Asia at 37 Scotts Road on behalf of Asia Life.
(3) Commercial Properties - Management and leasing of commercial buildings comprising Asia Insurance Building and Asia Chambers,
both of which owned by Asia Insurance.
- Joint Venture development and leasing of 28 storey office building known as 80 Robinson Road with Hong Leong Holdings Ltd of which Asia Insurance has a 26% stake.
- Management and leasing of 12 units of 2 storey shophouse at Neil Road belonging to Asia Insurance.
